GAMBIA PRESIDENT YAHYA JAMMEH GOES ON EXILE!

Defeated President Gambia Yahya Jammeh went into political exile to Guinea with his family on Saturday night 21st January 2017 after ruling the country for 22 years. His bluff to not step down from power was called off after ECOWAS country members and the international community decided to mount military pressure to oust him from office. He took flight just 24 hours after he announced on National television he was relinquishing power to the newly inaugurated President, Adama Barrow whose inauguration ceremony took place at the Gambian embassy in Senegal. Barrow is expected back in Gambia to resume office when the coast is properly clear.
