WHATSAPP ROLLS-OUT TWO-STEP VERIFICATION FOR ADDITIONAL SECURITY!

Whatsapp now supports two-step verification, this was announced on the company website TWO-STEP VERIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT. Two-step verification is a high grade security measure that offers protection for an individual's account via a passcode comprising of 6 digits, which must be provided in order to register an individual's phone number on the Whatsapp service. In an event where the individual forgets his/her 6 digit passcode a recovery email can be used to retrieve it. The company states that using the 2-step verification process protects an individual's account from unauthorized access, once this process has been completed all other attempts for phone number verification on Whatsapp will need the passcode to authenticate the action thereby providing an additional layer of solid security.
