Day Thousands of Worshippers gathered in Uyo for Ibom Easter Fiesta

All roads led to the center of Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, on Easter Monday, 17th April 2017, as thousands of Christians gathered at Ibom Plaza for the much publicised Ibom Easter Fiesta- Concert.

The Governor and government of Akwa Ibom state, through the Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment Industry hosted the second edition of a 'Special Easter Celebration Concert for Akwa Ibom People'.

Listed to perform at the glamorous event were gospel exponents like Princess Esther Edoho, Godfada, Progress, Evang. Uduak Akpan, Ab Isong, David Whitesax, John Jimah, Eno Williams, AniPsalm, Bobby Frigga and introducing Gold Owen.

The Comperes for the night were Geofery Uzonu ( Geoff Q) of Inspiration FM, Asteroid Bassey of AKBC TV and Comedian Sir James. Gospel Musicians Jossy, Bobby Friga, Progress and Mbomboyo kept the audience on their feets, screaming at the top of their voices in praises to God.

 For comedy, Gentility, MC Senator, Pastor Chris and the interpreter thrilled the crowd amongst other performers. "Light rain showers forced the curtains to be drawn earlier than expected, even when the people were still yearning for more."

The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Entertainment Industry, David Sageant (Utang Akwa Ibom) in his closing remark, appreciated his boss for the approval and support for the event, he also thanked the Speaker, Rt Hon Onofiok Luke, members of the state exco, members of the State House of Assembly, his brothers and colleagues; Godfada Uko (SA Projects), Mr Bassey (PA Protocol) and Mr Idorenyin (SA Trade & Market Matters) for their support and presence.
