VIDEO: WIZKID'S LIE ON BBC'S RADIO-1-XTRA RAISES MASSIVE CRITICISM ONLINE!

Popular Nigerian music artiste and one of the most celebrated names in the music industry in the country, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid has been having lot of unpleasant online criticism lately. The father of one came under fire from folks back in Nigeria due to a recent interview he granted British Disc Jockey, DJ Semtex (A BBC RADIO-1-XTRA PRESENTER). Below is an excerpt of the line of conversation that has drawn a lot of controversy lately:

“Big shout to my Naija people. I love them too much. That’s why I do a lot back home. Sometimes I do free shows. I just pull up and say ‘Hey, Wizkid, free show.’ Sometimes I charge like a dollar for a show, sometimes I take like N1000, sometimes when I do shows at the Fela shrine, back with Femi (Kuti) and all that.”

Fans back in the country are displeased with the statement as all and sundry can point to the fact that Wizkid's last free show was sometime in 2013 and ever ever since he has been smiling home with a fat pocket sometimes running into millions of naira. More disgruntling is the fact that awhile ago the singer did promise his fans free shows across the country only for him to cancelled it due to issues bothering on his health but he did perform at Rhythm Unplugged where he was paid alot of money, just around the same period he cancelled free shows for his fans.
