LATEST ON PMAN AKS ELECTIONS!
The PMAN Electoral Committee Board (ELECO) ON 30th, May 2017 met with stakeholders and elders of the Union to deliberate on guidelines for the forthcoming elections in the state. Present at the meeting were current caretaker chairman Chaiker Banton, Vice Chairman Fadabasi Udo Effiong (Abasi Mmi Ayayah), Dr. Victor Idim (Vidim Africa), George Emmah, Ubong Udofia amongst others.
The key highlights of the meeting were:
i. Date for the election was fixed tentatively for July 7, 2017
ii. A stipulated amount of 50,000 Naira was fixed for Chairmanship nomination form, while First and Second Vice Chairmanship positions were fixed at 30,000 Naira and 15,000 Naira for all other offices.
iii. It was also tentatively agreed that the election be held via a Delegates' Conference.

In his remark the Chairman of the ELECO Board Mr. Joe Itiabia stressed that the election forthcoming election will be free, fair and transparent. He also urged members to maintain a high level of discipline and decorum before, during and after elections; and also to support the ELECO Board to achieve a credible election.
