I AM NOT IN THE INDUSTRY (NOLLYWOOD) FOR MONEY - OGE OKOYE

Popular Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye, who got mixed in a fake online dog photo-sham bared her mind in a recent interview with PUNCH where she openly stated why she was scarce and would not act in most Nollywood movies including other issues.

“I am very particular about the type of movies I appear in. If it doesn’t have a good script, or if it is not being handled by professionals, I wouldn’t be part of it. I am not in the industry for money, but for the passion and love I have for the arts. Appearing in sub-standard movies has a negative effect on one’s career as the audience would always see you in the light of that movie for a long time. And they wouldn’t respect you.”

On reports that she snubs people excessively she had the following to say:

“That is not true. When people don’t understand you, they would label you as being snobbish. I just like to mind my business and I don’t go to where I’m not invited. I don’t know whether that is what is meant by being snobbish. When it comes to making friends, I am very choosy as I tend to keep my friends very close and I can do anything for them.”
