TIWA SAVAGE AMONG 2017 LIST OF BBC 100 INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN!

In a recent release the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) published its 2017 list of 100 inspirational and innovative women among this list was Nigeria's own Tiwa Savage and

Anne-Marie Imafidon. The series which motivates and reveals pressing issues affecting women the world over, has its 2017 edition set to motivate women for change.

Seven other African women made the list, including:

Chaima Lahsini (Morrocco)
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (Liberia)
Noami Mwaura (Kenya)
Anita Nderu (Kenya)
Adelle Onyango (Kenya)
Talent Jumo (Zimbabwe)
Marieme Jamme (Senegal)

The Media giant had the following to say on the choice:

This year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
Coming together in four teams, the women will share their experiences and create innovative ways to tackle:

The glass ceiling – #Teamlead
Female illiteracy – #Teamread
Street harassment – #Teamgo
Sexism in sport – #Teamplay
The list at the moment only has 60 names on it but as time progresses more women who have taken up the challenge in some way will be added to the list.
