He earned this from the single reason that most movies he has starred in were all flops and surprising enough because of Depp's expensive rates nearly half the profits of these movies account for just his fees. Critic attribute sudden fall of the once top class actor to marital issues he had which dwelt around the premise of violence against his wife Amber Heard and a possible divorce looming in the air.
